London Arrival

7-february-2015

Great flight from Dubai to London.
Arrived to a cold 5degC (at bit of a shock from Dubai and Bangkok).
Lachlan slipped in and out of sleep as we drove through London to our apartment, while I prattled onto the kids about all the landmarks we were passing on the way(memory lane) - Harrods being one of the most significant (very excited!).
Received a 'frosty' reception from the security guard at the apartment - Yes, 'welcome' to London! Nice apartment from the inside(plenty of space - most unlike London), The East End outside(still haven't been out yet - have filled the kids in on 'the Ripper') looks 'interesting' out there - I know things have changed a lot from our time here 18ish years ago - but?

  1. I hope you didn't tell the boys about 'The Ripper' as a bedtime story! Yikes. Your apartment sounds fab, if you've got plenty of space. We freaked Hamish n Roddy out as Karina was to watching Dr Who (the 9th doctor made circa 2005) for the first time last night. The suspense is great and there's lots of humour.

I was telling the kids that not only when you travel to different cultures is the food, sights, music etc different, but also the loos. So, the kids wanna see some different loos on your blog and any 'funnies' that go with it.

Enjoy Harrods, Harvey Nics, Hamleys etc. We're loving hearing from you and what you're all getting up to. xxx

  2. Pretty uneventful on the 'toliet' stories so far. Bangkok was surprisingly good - no squats. Lots of hoses and no toilet paper examples(mainly an issue for the only girl in our team). I'm sure the stories will come ...
Jarvis is terrified of 'Dr Who' !
